THE DREAM
Creating a free after-school music studio so kids can trade the streets for their craft.
Aaliyah was 14 when music saved her life. She had nothing, nowhere to go after school, and the streets were calling. Then someone handed her a microphone.
Now 26, she wants to be that someone for the next generation. Studio 84 will be a free, professional-grade recording studio open every day after school. Kids can come in, learn production, write, record, and perform — all for free.
The only catch? You have to be enrolled in school. Aaliyah knows music is powerful. She wants to use it as the hook that keeps kids in the building that can change their lives.
